Scale-Tron’s SiloWeigh Basic, your go to source when you need to know how much material you have in your silo.

SiloWeigh Basic displays the weight of material in your silo, allowing you to reconcile inventory quickly and efficiently keeping your business on the right track. Our digital display connects locally to the sensors mounted on your silo. Raw materials are an expensive commodity and so is the cost of running out of material or returning it because of discrepancies in your inventory, which negatively impacts profitability. This is where Scale-Tron’s SiloWeigh Basic can help.

Our systems can be found throughout the cement, powder, plastics and food industries, in virtually every type of silos.

How Scale-Tron’s SiloWeigh IIoT benefits your operations:
  • Large, easy to read 0.6 inch green LED display.

  • Serial RS232 bidirectional communication.

  • Powers four L-Strain sensors or load cells. .

  • Mount the legs on Load Cells for higher accuracy.

  • All-weather. Sensors, wiring and junction boxes meet NEMA-4, IP66.

  • Set up the dust and splashproof industrial weight indicator in a convenient indoor location.

  • Kit includes 100 m (328 ft) indicator cable.

  •  Designed and manufactured in North America with parts available from stock.

  • CE, UL and CUL

Specifications
  • All silo capacities can be measured. The limitation is the stress in the support structure. Acceptable stress is in the range 1000 to 15,000 lb per square inch.

  • Legged structural silos

  • Up to 4 sensors can be powered from each SiloWeigh Basic indicator.

  • Large 0.6″ green LED digits.

  • 50,000 counts, accuracy of display better than 0.01%.

  • Dependent on structure being measured. Typically ±5% to 10% of full scale value because indicator lacks filters.

  • 9 VDC, 110-250V AC adapter, 10 W max

  • Sensors: -40 to +70°C (-40 to +160°F). Display: -10-40°C (14-104°F).

  • ABS plastic, chemical resistant, NEMA-12, with horizontal or vertical mounting bracket.

WHY WEIGHT MEASUREMENT IS BETTER

Level measurements drop due to compaction, however weight-based inventory measurement provides a consistent reading of what is actually in the vessel, regardless of material build up or distribution. Vessel conditions, like rat holes, cascading or bridging, do not affect the measurement. Unlike level measurement, our sensors have no contact with the material as they are bolted to the vessel’s legs or skirt.
