Sono-Vario Moisture Sensor Specification

Measuring range:0 – 20% moisture, precalibrated for sand. Other ranges and materials on request. Can be calibrated for surface or total moisture, “wet” or “dry” calculation basis.
Material limits:From powder to 1.25″ (32 mm) aggregates and accuracy within 0.2% over this range.
Sensing volume:Measuring depth of approximately 1 " - 2 " (30 - 50 mm).
Analog output 1:0-20mA, 4-20mA, Moisture reading.
Analog output 2:Temperature (0-70°C, 32-158°F), conductivity or standard deviation of moisture readings.
Digital RS485 connection:Bidirectional, industry standard protocol and command structure supports multiple moisture probes on the same RS485 multi-drop line.
IMP-BusIsolated proprietary current bus solves many RS485 problems.
Power:12 - 24 VDC, 3 W max.
Measuring cycles:From fast response with no filtering to averaging or Kalman filtering.  6 modes available.
Calibration curve storage:Up to 15 sets of calibration curves can be stored internally and called from the RS485 or IMP-Bus  interface.
Ambient temperature: Sensor body temperature for full accuracy: 0-70°C (32-158°F).
Construction:Stainless steel body and flange with extra hard alumina ceramic faceplate, 3 mm thickness.
Size:4-1/4" (108mm) diameter, 1.8" (45mm) long with angled flange for correct positioning of faceplate under aggregate gate.
Guarantee:1 year guarantee on material and workmanship; return for replacement.
